Low- Carb/Keto

A low-carb diet is generally for people interested in losing weight. It may also be beneficial if you experience symptoms of carbohydrate intolerance like bloating or inflammation. Low-carb diets limit carbohydrates and refined sugars while increasing proteins and healthy fats.

Also, primarily for weight loss, Keto is a specific low-carb diet that promotes eating higher levels of protein (25%) and fat (75%) and low levels of carbohydrates (5%) in order to induce a state called ketosis.

Here are some low-carb recipes from Mission:

Whether you are a full-time vegetarian or wanting to add more meatless options to your weekly menu, most of us could use more vegetables in our diet. Vegetables are low in fat and high in the vitamins and nutrients our bodies need. Here are some vegetarian Mission recipes so tasty that you won’t even miss the meat.

Pinwheels make a fun snack or dish to bring to your next potluck. These Vegetarian Pinwheels with lettuce, cilantro, cream cheese and taco seasoning are a simple, yet tasty treat.

When eating vegetarian, it is important to make sure you’re eating enough protein and lentils are the second highest bean when it comes to protein. For these Easy Lentil Tacos cook dried lentils in tomato sauce with taco seasoning until tender then add to your lightly charred Organic Whole Wheat Tortilla with cabbage and diced tomatoes, cilantro, and avocado cream.
