In celebration of summer, we’re highlighting the most summer-y, tropical fruit we can think of--the mango! They’re sweet, tart, loaded with antioxidants and have almost as much vitamin C as oranges to boost your immune system. 

Recipes with mango offer an extra little something--a surprise element of tropical flavor to accent savory and spicy dishes that you’ll want to eat all summer long.

Blueberry Mango Salsa

This summer-y, sweet and spicy salsa is loaded with fruits and vegetables. And the best part? The tropical burst of mango! Combine blueberries, diced mango, chopped dried cucumber, diced jalapeno, and fresh cilantro and lime juice. Chunky Mango Guacamole

We think mango and avocado may be the most perfect union, but we’re sure you’ll want to taste for yourself! This mango recipe is creamy, savory and studded with sweet chunks of mango. Start with roughly mashed avocado and stir in cilantro, onion, jalapeño, lime juice, garlic, and salt until combined. Then stir in one large, diced mango. Jerk Shrimp Wraps With Grilled Cabbage and Mango Slaw

For a Better For You main course recipe with mango, try these flavorful Jerk Shrimp Wraps. Not only do you grill the marinated shrimp, you’ll also grill the cabbage quarters before shredding them. Season the shredded cabbage with olive oil, lime juice, ginger, honey, and cayenne pepper, then stir in mango, green onions and cilantro; let stand for 20 minutes to absorb all the flavor.
