June 18, 2021

Chipotle lovers take their sauce seriously, and there’s no better way to spice up your meal than with the beloved mixture. There are numerous ways to prepare a chipotle sauce, but the traditional recipe calls for a mixture of chipotle peppers and adobo.

If you’re a fan of all things chipotle, Mission Foods has a collection of recipes that will help you spice things up this summer. From smoky chipotle tacos to addicting dips, it won’t just be the summer heat making you sweat this season. Here are some of our favorite chipotle recipes and the Mission products to serve with each meal.

Easy Chipotle Ranch Dip

One of the easiest recipes to make on the Mission website, this dip is delicious and can even double as a salad dressing. Simply blend all of the ingredients, add seasoning or chipotle peppers to taste, and garnish with green onions for a refreshing dip with a kick.

The classic taste of Mission Strips Tortilla Chips provides the perfect crunch for each bite. Try adding a bit of milk or water to turn this dip into a tasty dressing. With so much versatility, you may want to double the recipe.

Slow Cooker Chipotle Beef Tacos

This spicy chipotle taco recipe requires minimal effort while delivering maximum flavor. Begin by heating a medium skillet and cook onions, jalapeños, and chipotle peppers for around eight minutes. Add garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper, and cook for about one minute.

You’ll then add that mixture to a slow cooker and mix in the beef. Flank steak is recommended, but you can easily substitute other cuts. Cook low and slow for six to eight hours, and shred the meat when finished. Wrap in Mission’s Organic White Corn Tortillas for an authentic taste made with Certified Non-GMO ingredients.

Dairy-Free Fish Tacos With Chipotle Aioli

One of the freshest recipes from Mission, these fish tacos are delicious and you won’t get enough of the coleslaw topper. Start by preparing the chipotle aioli and coleslaw and refrigerate both before starting the fish.

Season your fish and cook in a skillet over high heat for three to four minutes per side. Warm up some Mission Organic Whole Wheat Tortillas and add fish, coleslaw, chipotle aioli, and any other toppings you love. Although they’re dairy-free, these tacos will be a hit with anyone on a hot summer day.

Tomatillo Chipotle Salsa

You can’t beat chips and salsa during the dog days of summer and this tomatillo chipotle recipe might become your year-round favorite. And with a prep time of just ten minutes, it’s a great snack when time is tight.

Simply combine tomatillos, onions, chipotle peppers, cilantro, garlic, salt, and sugar into a blender or food processor and purée coarsely. With the mixture slightly chunky, add water and stir to create a classic salsa consistency. Pair with Mission’s Strips Tortilla Chips or their Restaurant Style Thin and Crispy Tortilla Chips to have guests thinking you ordered out.

Grilled Salmon Tacos With Cherry Chipotle Salsa

Another bold mix of flavors, these salmon tacos are perfect for the backyard or a campfire cookout. Pair with Mission’s Organic White Corn Tortillas for authentic taste made with quality ingredients.

After mixing ingredients, refrigerate and begin preparing the fish. Start by cooking the salmon skin-side-down for about eight minutes. Carefully flip and leave on the grill for another six minutes. When finished, break the salmon into pieces with a fork while removing the skin.

After warming your Mission tortillas, add mashed avocado, salmon, cabbage, and a generous helping of the cherry chipotle salsa. Garnish with cilantro and enjoy this fresh twist on fish tacos.

The smoky flavors of chipotle can add a kick to almost any dish. Try these and all of the chipotle recipe ideas available on the Mission website to add some spice to your summer menu. And don’t forget to grab the authentic flavors of Mission’s products to help take your meals to the next level.
