Easy Black Bean Dip Recipe

    bag Mission Rounds Tortilla Chips
  • 3

    jalapeno peppers
  • 1

    can (19 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • ¼

    cup lime juice
  • 2

    tbsp olive oil
  • 1

    clove garlic, minced
  • ½

    tsp each ground cumin, ancho chili powder, salt and pepper
  • ¼

    cup diced red onion
  • 2

    tbsp finely chopped fresh cilantro


  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 425˚F. On small baking sheet, roast jalapenos for 12 to 15 minutes or until just tender and charred in spots. Let cool completely. Seed and dice jalapenos.

  • Step 2

    In bowl, mash together black beans, lime juice, oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt and pepper until smooth. Stir in jalapenos, red onion, and cilantro. Serve with chips.

  • Tip

    Alternatively, broil or grill jalapeno peppers until charred.
